Meet the Girl Behind JG’s
Hi, I’m Jada!
20-year-old college student, AAMU Marching Maroon & White Band tuba player, and the hands behind every treat.

I’m a 20-year-old college student at Alabama A&M University, majoring in Food Science with a minor in Biology. My studies help me understand food on a deeper level so I can keep improving every product I share with my customers.
I’m also a proud member of AAMU’s Marching Maroon & White Band — playing tuba as a female musician is just one more thing that keeps me busy and inspired.
My love for baking started with my late grandmother, Betty J. Godbolt, who taught me how to bake and passed down her recipes, and my late sister, Shuterica Lipscomb, who always had me in the kitchen experimenting on treats for her when I was a little girl.
Growing up with both of my parents, Pamela Rogers and Keith Godbolt, being entrepreneurs, I knew early on I wanted to follow in their footsteps and one day work for myself. My mom helped turn my love for baking into a business in 2013 when I was only 8 years old, promoting my treats on Facebook and helping me get started.
At age 16, with help from my mom, I purchased my own ice cream truck. Today, JG’s Ice Cream & Treats has grown into a treat storefront, custom treat business, and ice cream truck!
Between college, band, and running my business, I stay VERY busy — so I truly appreciate your patience and support as I continue growing while serving my loyal and new customers.
